Patiala is the most famous city of Punjab located in the southeastern part of India and is the fourth largest city of this state. This city was founded in the year 1763 by Sidhu Jat chieftain Ala Singh and is situated around Qila Mubarak also known as Fortunate Castle.

2. Kali Temple
This temple was constructed in about 1936 by Maharaja of Patiala who installed a 6 ft. statue of Goddess Kali and pavan joyti was transported from Bengal to Patiala for worship. Now, this temple is near the Baradari Gardens.
3. Sheesh Mahal
This mahal is supposed to be the hub of pleasure and is built opposite the Moti Bagh Palace. The paintings and mirror work are the main attractions of this palace which attracts tourists from all over the world.
4. Moti Bagh Palace
The construction of this palace was taken up by Maharaja Narinder Singh and was later completed by his descendant Maharaja Bhupinder Singh during the 20th century. Now this place is known as the National Institute of Sports.
5. Qila Mubarak Complex
This place was the property of the royal family of Patiala up to 1862. This fort is located in the heart of Patiala city and was the pride of the city during the 18th century. The construction work of this complex was taken up by Baba Ala Singh and completed by his descendant Maharaja Amar Singh.
6. Lachman Jhoola
